Traffic Operations Study

The Intermodal Surface Transportation Efficiency Act [ISTEA] and subsequent Transportation Equity Act for 21st Century [TEA-21], identified the need to preserve existing transportation systems and to achieve maximum efficiency from existing facilities. To satisfy these goals, Wood-Washington-Wirt [WWW] Interstate Planning Commission performs periodic transportation studies. These reports identifies intersections with high accident locations during a designated time period, and provides recommendations to improve performance.
